3-4 Boneless Skinless Organic Chicken Breasts
½ cup Organic Orange Juice
2 Tbsp Sea Salt
2 TbspBlack Pepper
4 Tbsp cumin powder
Tallow, Bacon Grease, Lard, Ghee, or Grass-Fed Butter for cooking.
Create a rub by combining the sea salt, black pepper and cumin powder in a bowl.
Place the chicken breasts in a shallow baking dish and sprinkle the rub over each side of the chicken breasts. Using your hands, massage the seasoning in to the chicken breasts.
Heat the large pan over medium-high heat and spoon 2-3 Tbsp of fat in to the pan. Once melted, add the orange juice to the pan. The two will combine nicely.
Add your chicken breasts to the pan, let cook about 1 minute on the first side and then flip them over. Reduce heat to low, cover and allow the chicken breasts to cook for about 20 minutes depending on thickness.
Once the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, it is done. Make friends with your meat thermometer! It will save you from guessing, serving raw chicken, or chicken flavored sawdust!
This recipe pairs really well with greens and roasted carrots!
